How to Make Sea Moss Gel
-
Rinse the Sea Moss:
Thoroughly rinse the dried sea moss under cool water to remove any sand, debris, or salt. -
Soak the Sea Moss:
Place the rinsed sea moss in a bowl and cover it with water. Let it soak for 12-24 hours at room temperature. During this time, the sea moss will expand, soften, and become translucent. -
Blend into a Gel:
Drain the soaking water (you can reserve it for blending if desired). Add the soaked sea moss to a blender with 2-3 cups of fresh water, depending on your desired gel consistency. Blend until smooth and creamy. -
Store the Gel:
Transfer the sea moss gel to a clean, airtight container. Store it in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 weeks.
How to Use:
Sea moss gel can be added to smoothies, teas, soups, or used as a thickening agent in recipes. It’s a versatile and nutrient-rich addition to your diet.
