Ear seeds are used to stimulate pressure points in your ear. They are a type of auriculotherapy, which refers to acupressure or acupuncture focused on the ear.

Ear seeds are placed on certain points, to help with different things such as anxiety, smoking, weight loss, insomnia, pain, addiction.
Traditionally, ear seeds come from the flowering herb vaccaria.
Some people go to an acupuncturist to have the seeds placed but you can do it on your own or with the help of a friend. It may take a few tries to get it correct but you can do it.
If you do want to try them yourself, follow these steps:
Clean and dry your ear. Ear seeds should always go on the outside of your ear, never in your ear canal.
Identify the correct point. You can use the chart enclosed or have it done by an acupuncturist.
Use tweezers to apply the ear seed to the point on your ear. try not to touch the sticky side of the tape. Press gently on the tape to make sure it sticks.
Massage ear seeds gently. Do this two to three times each day or when you have symptoms. Apply pressure by rubbing the seeds with a circular motion for one to three minutes.
Change them regularly. Change every 3-4 days
Remove them. You can use tweezers or your nails. To make sure seeds don’t fall into your ear canal, tilt your head so your ear faces the ground before taking them off. If the seed falls into you ear canal, contact a healthcare provider immediately
It’s a good idea to wait a day or at least 6-8!hours before using new seeds
During a craving
when you feel a craving if you press on the ear seeds during that craving it reduces or removes the craving according to people who use it. They are effective in reducing symptoms of withdrawal such as anxiety, depression, and stress. It may vary from person to person but many patients have said it is very helpful.
